Perception
The universe is not cold and uncaring, It is not alive, unable to be uncaring. The world is not beautiful or wonderful, It is not alive, unable to be wonderful. The universe, the world, all exist independently of our minds. It is our perception that prescribes meanings to it all, beautiful or tragic, good or bad, shallow or deep. Our perception allows us to see the world, and in beautiful irony, prevents us from doing so almost entirely. All we have, all we are, is a world of our own making, and just as our perception allows us to glimpse the world outside, our words too allow others to see the world within. Make your world a world of compassion, of patience, of understanding, of love. You craft every aspect of your own world. Make it a good one.
