Pen And Paper Pencil and paper Whether its my art or my words I use pencil And paper So that's what people see it as Pencil and paper They don't see the work The erased marks The time Effort Stress Perfectionism They just see a neat little artwork that could be better While I stare at the mess ups Things that are sloppy They praise it with two words Always the same "Pretty good" Pretty good? I think to myself Remembering the hours of practice it took to be "pretty good" No no... It needs to be great I practice more Every day Thinking about "Pretty good" But no matter how much I practice How much my hand cramps It'll always be "pretty good" Never great Amazing Or beautiful Just "pretty good"
