Peel me a pomegranate
The internet has found a new trend. Peeling pomegranates for their loved ones, God knows I'd love to peel him one and I'd cherish the skin that slips off my fingers as I rip it off of the delicate fruit, as the juice splatters on me leaving me stained but I don't care. I'd even make him juice. I just hope he'd do the same for me because he doesn't even have to ask. as I write this about the boy I love I realized I once had someone who did this for me but it wasn't a boy I loved romantically. it was my step-dad who no longer lives in my presence, he's somewhere I don't know of. He used to love to peel the pomegranates for me, he'd take his time making sure not one seed was forgotten. although he didn't like it when it splattered all over him, he'd still peel them for me. he'd even squeeze them to make a glass of juice for me and I'd do the same for him. but I don't think he'll ever want to peel me a pomegranate again, he's started a new life, a life without me in it. he's gone and he took a part of me with him.
