Pedals
Faster, faster, and faster still, go the wheels, and pedals of my beloved bicycle. Down the lanes, darting under low hanging branches, the cool of the summer evening upon us. Feels so good to be out, riding fast, and getting the old heart pumping. Just like we did when we were young, now still young at heart. Chasing the gulls, and ducking from the bats, that fly so low, like their joining us in haste. Why is it almost impossible to ride slow, to take it easy, and just enjoy the scenery. Because riding gives a sense of freedom, especially with the breeze in your hair, and the wind in your tail. Someone once said to me, you can not ride a bike and feel sad. I think this is very true, very true indeed.
