Peace be with you.
My eyes are open, now I can see I lay in fields of green. Gone are the ashes and fires I dreamt You cursed me with intent. Breathing is easy with no smoke, yet I can smell the remnant of life before I woke A living memory, the ghost of my past still haunts me in flesh and it will last. So I will cling to the peace that I breathe. Don't call me back because I will not leave! Your voice is enticing. It shatters my soul. the pain that you've caused, I can't take anymore. I'll lay and admire the cloudless sky I'll allow much time to go by my wounds may heal my life will grow. I will allow this pain to flow. Down the hillside, to the creek. My love for you will stay with me but I will be free from the smoke.
