Paving My Way Up
Through the tenebrous veil of adversity, I navigate, A pilgrim in the darkness, forging a path, where shadows perpetually hover. The tempests rage, the thunder booms, the lightning flashes, Yet, I press on, undeterred, my spirit unbroken, my will unshaken. In the deluge of despair, I find my footing, A steady heartbeat, a pulse that throbs, a determination that never falters. Through the inferno of trials, I walk, unscathed, My soul tempered, like steel, in the crucible of affliction. I am not deterred, I am not swayed, My gaze fixed on the horizon, my heart set on the prize. Slowly, yet surely, I ascend, A gradual, incremental rise, a steady, upward climb. But the road is fraught with peril, a gauntlet of thorns, A terrain of twists and turns, where serpents lurk, and pitfalls yawn. I must be vigilant, I must be strong, A warrior in the arena, armed with courage, and a heart that's resilient. I stand, even when standing is an act of defiance, A declaration of hope, in the face of despair's dark, suffocating presence. For I know that every step, every stumble, every fall, Is an opportunity to rise, to learn, to grow, and to stand tall. So I pave my way up, through the darkness, through the pain, the storm.
