Past Suffering
Your soft velvet robe touches the palm of my hand and your luminous brown eyes sparkling behind the hood that holds back your cries and your pain you grab your mask and put it on your face the past can't be changed and that fears you in deep agony I will take your mask off from your face for your scars won't change the way I perceive you I don't look at you with hatred or disgrace but with a hopeful willingness you are gonna change you grab my hand and look at me like I'm translucent but I'm just a reflecting image of your self doubt and your continuous suffering that you pass down I'm forever in your debt but I'd cut off my hand before I'd ever get the chance to be with you personally as yours ever again
