Past Scars

The past leaves scars, but like a clock. The time ticks on. The wounds never really heal, as one gets left with the scar tissue. What is scar tissue to the heart? Its the healed wounds which are still sensitive when opened or touched. Its the dull ache in our hearts, when the past is brought up. The bitterness of the word love. Hearts are fragile, not meant to be harmed. But the cruelty comes with a person who holds the heart. Time heals the wounds. But it doesn't erase your mind. Because the past scars, are always hidden behind our lies.
