Passions of the past
How can I move on, when I said "I love you"? When thoughts of you fill every hour I view,, speak not of departures; I beg you to stay, For my heart belongs to you, come what may. But dare I voice these sentiments, so bold, To lay bare the truth, as my story unfolds? For you possess the key, my dear, to my soul, Unlocking passions, making me whole. How can I we be friends, When the memory of your touch, so vivid, Haunts the chambers of this fragile heart, In the darkness, entwined, never to depart? I close my eyes, and there you lie, Our bodies entangled, beneath moonlit sky, Wrapped in sheets, a tender embrace, Whispering sweet words, with grace. Oh, the conflicting desires, so hard to bear, To hold you close, yet know we can't share, A world where friendship masks the deeper need For now, I'll keep these words hidden, unsaid, Until a time when love's path is gently opened
