Partners in depression
I am so scared that this will be my room That i won't be able to see the floor That it will always be your mess And me cleaning it up I am so scared That i will end up the maid Coming home after class or work And walking into a room completely obscured in stuff It is one thing to have shelves, Organized but cluttered. And it is another to not see the floor To not get furniture To let your room become a fire Hazard I'm so scared That I will have to be the one to tell you that depression can only go so far That at some point you need to make the choice That you can forget your medication But you can't not set reminders You're not wrong for feeling how you do For not being able to get out of bed Or brush your teeth But when you don't take your meds Not only does it hurt you, but it strains me I know that you want to I know that you 'just forget But if you know you will forget You can't use that as an excuse If you know it's a problem It is your job to take steps to fix it You can ask for help You can ask for assistance But at some point You need to be capable of being a human
