Part One
You gave me a home, and filled it with the brightest lights, and warmest beds and coloured walls, and infused the air with love. Then, just when I felt safest, just when I felt most free, just when I felt most me, just when the love had intertwined with my soul and had become a part of my anatomy. You set the house on fire. You drenched the doors and walls and picture frames with gasoline. You lit a match and flicked it. It landed on th fluffy pink carpet. The home was ablaze. You held my hair in a tight grip and made me watch. The home spewed fire in all exits, in that moment the home was at its brightest.
