Part 1: The Whisper of Gloom
(The Weight of Gloom, The Wish for Dawn) Part 1: The Whisper of Gloom In shadows deep, my tears silently flow, My room, a dark haven, where sorrows grow. I thought I was healing, a gentle, soft sway, But merely distraction, held true pain at bay. A whisper echoes, "No longer stay," Knife in my hand, to end this gloom's gray. One final sway, to slip away, But waking thoughts now hold their sway. My heart cries out, "Don't walk that way," While urges strong, still darkly play. My brain and heart, in fierce display, To end it all, or find a new day.
