parents never really listen
parents think being older makes them right even when they are wrong they crush my words before they even leave my mouth they call it respect I call it control they demand the truth but when I give it they turn it into a fight they turn me into the problem my grandma, my dad they don’t hear me they don’t want to they just want to win so I stopped giving them pieces of me I give them silence and I give my voice to outsiders people who don’t rush people who don’t judge people who let me bleed out my thoughts without telling me to stop I am done screaming into walls I am done waiting to be heard I choose the ones who stay quiet and actually listen
