Parasocial
Perusing the screen I held— beyond the seas and countries, by the way of our signals— I watched a video from you, and gazed the visage of you, then my beating heart fluttered. Your deep, yet feminine voice; I listened to it in sleep. Your smile, brighter than the stars; I admired it in dreams. The few I knew about you; I adored it in fantasy. Within those daydreams of you, we were in your town—strolling. In those delusions of you, we were hand in hand—blushing. While in dark and lonely nights, we were together—kissing. But when our warm lips would touch, I would kiss only cold air. But when I would grasp your hand, I would touch only my palms. But when we would be downtown, I would feel only my room. Then my beating heart crumbled, and I averted my gaze, and closed the video from you. Then I shed a single tear, from knowing you're far away— beyond the screen that I held.
