Paradox of love
Love, the artist, paints a beautiful sight But with each stroke, it steals our peace, our light It brings us joy, but also endless pain A bittersweet reminder of love's cruel game With gentle touch, it colors our heart But with cruel hands, it tears us apart It's a mystery, a confusing fate Love, the artist, or love, the thief, which one is great? It brings us close, with a tender embrace But leaves us lonely, with an empty space It's a paradox, a heart-wrenching test Love, the artist, or love, the thief, we're left to guess We search for answers, but find none Only tears, and a heart that's undone We try to hold on, but it slips away Leaving us with nothing, but a fading ray Of what we had, of what we knew A love that's lost, a heart that's bruised and blue We're left to pick up the pieces of our heart And wonder why love played its cruel part
