Pain of loving
Aching for someone who doesn't have a heart, Longing for a love that will never start. Searching for warmth in a cold, empty space, Yearning for a touch that will never embrace. The void inside grows deeper each day, As I reach out in vain, hoping you'll stay. But your indifference cuts like a knife, Leaving me adrift in this lonely life. I ache for a heart that will never beat, For a love that is nothing but a deceit. Yet still I cling to a dream that won't come true, Hoping against hope that one day, you'll see me too. But deep down, I know it's all in vain, For you are incapable of feeling my pain. So I'll keep on aching, keep on longing, For a love that was never meant to be belonging. In this cruel world where hearts can be cold, I'll hold onto my love, no matter how old. For even if you can't love me in return, My heart will forever ache, my love will forever burn.
