Own My Soul
Doesn't seem to matter how much I fight The answers the same I must not be too bright Game weary and tired Overworked but wired So i’ll rest when i die I’ll rest when i die Have to hold on sixteen hours a day to pay my bills Have no choice Its either die or climb up that hill Gotta show up, and when I'm ill better be on time Haven't had a day off in months but I'm just fine……… How i'd love a little time to myself But it's not in the cards or your find me sleeping out in the yard This way I keep my roof But it;s taking its toll And any way you slice it it’s them who own my soul Woke up to grey skies and circles around my eyes Rain drop blues brush pain crawling down my windows Sunrise always comes at such a cost Like blind man's bluff A roll of the dice Shooting craps but gambling with life I keep my roof But it's taking its toll And any way you slice it It’s them who own my soul Mother fuckers own my soul
