Overcast Eyes

eyes brighter than a morning sunrise. her heart is weighed down by self doubt. cloudy, my mind was for years. she's my favorite nightlight. illuminating my self worth. my body starved of her company. she whispers to me how broken shes become. "im broken too. so let's do our best to put the pieces back together". i can feel her smiling thousands of miles away.
