OUTDATED HUNTER
As the sun sets I wish only to reset And find time to rest What can I say It's been an awful day I couldn't catch my prey I’ve been trying to no luck at all Searching here and there Its like the jungle no longer heeds my call My head pounds with questions Has my prey realized my tacticts Have I really ran out of tricks I've been in this jungle the whole day And still couldn't catch a little deer Maybe today wasn’t my day But what kind of hunter am I It's as if I'm now haunted By all the prey I've hunted Maybe it's the wheels of fate turning But whatever it is, my patience is rushing And my skill is fading Is it my skill that is faded Or I've lost that hunting thrill Why can't I kill no more Maybe I’ve lost the equation All that knowledge just evaporating Or its just these grounds drying Oh how I used to be so good Respected and glorified In the jungle, both feared and praised With this bow in hand I could aim even blind But now its all vain I was a great catch From these other folks I had no match And that is a fact Oh how time changes Once a great hunter Venerated like the black panther But now the jungle has turned pitch black The trees laugh at my attempt to kill For the thrill in me has faded away
