Out On My Own
It would be smart to try and stop, To put thoughts of you back in their place, To tidy the shelf in my mind of our all out moments, And feel like I've passed you by. But I don't think I can. I don't think I want to. Instead, I'd rather revel in the dream you gave me. I'd rather be carried along by the hope you've inspired. I'd rather love myself in the way you taught me to. Don't take this gift from me. If you are truly to go, I hope you stay.
