Our Song Is Now Just A Song.
I heard our song from a distance today and smiled, remembering the good times we had together. The places we visited, hands we held, risks we took, pains we shared, plans we made, every promise and all the love we gave. Then it occurred to me that I have healed. I used to cry anytime anything related to us popped into my mind. But here I was, singing along like it was just a song, like it was never our song. I am glad because I love this feeling. I do not want to fight it. This phase is so peaceful. Everything disappeared when I stopped paying attention. And maybe that is what healing really is, when the past stops holding the present hostage. Wordsella.
