Our Own Kind of Eternity
Do you remember when we used to dance on clouds, where every step felt like a promise of forever? When everything felt like it was painted in hues of happiness and love? When the sun kissed our skin, and the stars whispered secrets in our ears? And we laughed like children without a care in the world. We believed heaven was our forever home, but even angels fall. One wrong move, one misstep, and suddenly, we were cast out. Cast out from the warmth, from the light, from everything we ever knew. They said we didn't belong there, and the flames of hell awaited. And what of hell? The fires that burned with a fury unmatched and consume without mercy. Where every breath felt like drowning. Where the air reeked of burning souls. And the screams, the endless torment, where every moment was agony of knowing we once tasted paradise. We clawed at the walls of that damned place, begging for mercy that never came. And then, by some twist of fate, hell didnt want us either. We were rejected even by the damned. Deemed too tainted for their fire and brimstone. Even in that inferno, there was no place for redemption. But at least—we were together. We thought we had fallen as low as we could go, but little did we know, there was still further to fall. So here we are, you and I, two lost souls wandering in this void between worlds. Until, with nothing left to lose, we made a choice. We built our own afterlife, where the skies are not stained with judgment, and the flames are but flickers of warmth. There are no pearly gates or fiery pits, no angels singing hymns or demons wielding pitchforks, just us and our broken dreams. And though the memories of heaven and hell still haunt us, though the scars of our exile run deep, here, we dance again, not on clouds but on solid ground, hand in hand, forging our own destiny amidst the ruins of what once was. So let them cast us out a thousand times over, because here, we're not bound by divine decree or infernal punishment. Here, it's just you and me, creating our own home from the shattered remnants of paradise and the depths of damnation. It's not perfect, far from it. And it's not much, but it's ours. Though we may be outcasts in the eyes of gods and demons alike, here in our own afterlife, we are finally free. And maybe, just maybe, that's enough to make our own heaven. Our own kind of eternity.
