OUR LOVE POEM
The vastness of the night, a silent, star-strewn sea, My heart a lonely vessel, adrift eternally. Then in the dawning light, your presence, pure and bright, A beacon shining forth, dispelling darkest night. I've tried it, love, we will figure it out together, Through stormy skies and calm, in sun and rain and weather. No doubt you'll find my faults, a shadowed, hidden stream, My clumsy words, my fears, a waking, troubled dream. But you, with gentle hand, you see beyond the veil, The spirit true and deep, that will not ever fail. Never ever should I doubt the love you have for me, It is my guiding star, my safe and steady quay. The mountain peaks we'll climb, with courage as our guide, The valleys we will cross, with nothing left to hide. For in your loving gaze, a strength I've never known, A tapestry of trust, on which our love is sown. And though the paths may twist, and shadows may descend, Our hearts as one will beat, until the journey's end.
