Our "leaders"
When our leaders speak, Vocabulary begins to shiver. With words crafted and woven together, Even English falters, troubled by their sound. Beautiful are the words they weave, Williams Shakespeare runs in fear of them. They speak of all the languages, But lack one crucial thing—truth. The lies they tell, Show they graduated first class honors, From the university of devil, Where truth is a failing course, Department of deceit's dark force. The garments our leaders wear, Shimmer with lies, a blinding sheen. Specially woven and ironed to fit their persona, A corrupt and gilded scene. Made from the finest silk, they gleam, They trade silk for shattered integrity, it would seem. Forgetting the linen of their integrity. Nigerian democracy, and its people, held hostage, it appears, At the mercy of selected few, through darkened years. Their future stolen, their voices silenced, their trust betrayed, Do you see the silk? Do you hear the lies they've made? How long must justice bear this heavy toll, beneath these clouded skies? How long will they steal the hope from our very eyes?
