As the world shifts  Into new and unknown territory We are forced to look at ourselves Our motivations  Our beliefs  Our inconsistencies Our visions of perfection Our ideals and goals We are bombarded with storms  We are left to wonder What our connection  To this planet really is We've had enough time to study To ask our questions We do not yet understand  The beauty that lies in our hands  We trample over mysteries  We take our anger out on one another We judge each other We play dumb We play the victim We give away our power We shift the blame into one another  We fail to see ourselves fully We fail to appreciate our fragile humanity We fail to lead one another We weaken ourselves  We degrade ourselves
