Our Hero in Heaven
You fought so brave , through storm and flame , A silent strength , no need for fame. Our guiding star , our steady ground, Now heaven holds the love we found. Your final breath , yet love remains , A father's bond that still sustains. You gave your all, and never tried, With hands so worn , heart inspired. Though God has called , we feel the theft, Of love too deep , of words unsaid, left. But maybe he saw what we could not - A soul so rare, too pure to rot. Your absence cuts like winter air, The room feels cold ; you're not there . But in the dark , your light still glows, Through whispered winds, your spirit flows. I feel you near , though you're above, Still wrapping us in endless love. I dream you smile with teary eyes, Beneath the calm of starlit skies. You watch us grow , you see us fall, Still cheering softly through it all. If only I could hold your hand, And walk with you through heaven's land. So here's to you - our strength , our Man, Forever part of who I am. Though pain will stay , and tears may run, Your shine through every rising sun, I miss you , Dad but now I see, You're not gone- you live in me.
