Our Garden
Home is soft and sweet Similar to silk and velvet Our home is vibrant, full of life, And filled with laughter A gentle joy plagues our home But, it's funny, how quick it's to go Home becomes cold, Filled endlessly with ugly shades of gold They slander our walls Filling our rooms with muck and rot We are nothing more than mice Feasting on trash and drowning in wine We have flowers that bloom in our home Flowers that will never be found Flowers that can't be seen through the thorns that hold us down We will never truly be free until you leave
