Orphaned Heart
In the quiet of the night, I often ponder why, The absence of a parent's love can make a soul so dry. Like a garden without rain, withering in despair, A child's heart can ache for love, in a world that seems unfair. The tender touch, the soothing voice, a bond so strong and true, But some must bear the heavy weight of love they never knew. In the absence of a parent's love, a void remains inside, A yearning for that missing piece, where love should softly reside. Yet, in the absence of this love, strength can still arise, For some find love in others, in friends or in the skies. And through the darkness, they may learn to heal and rise above, To fill the void, to find their way, despite the absent parent's love. Though absence stings like bitter frost, life's warmth can still be found, In the embrace of those who care, on solid, loving ground. So, let us be the ones to stand, to help them heal and grow, For love can bridge the deepest gaps, and nurture hearts to glow.
