orion
stars connect us for the millenia eager eyes ever wandering to dream about the life in our skies stars we will never see up close and yet that is alright the mysticism still stands to stoke wonder my mother and i sit on the front steps when i am but a babe with words and she tells me of orion how he lingered in the skies and how every late night shift or time out and followed him as her guide and protector home and i am an adult with too many thoughts but my eyes still search the night skies for orion's belt and bow staunch protector of my skies to guide me back to my home and i smile to think of my mother each time that i do and the way he watched over her carefully i smile to think of the idea that we are not the only ones who have done this that there must be billions of souls out there past and present whose eyes search for the warrior's belt and the protection of his bow to keep their skies safe
