ONLY YOU
Everything isn't what it seems Your friends really aren't your friends Smoke and mirrors Skeletons peeking from behind closed doors The little clues all around And who you are just depends You keep turning back to look into the past you tried to leave behind Reaching back behind my back to cover the trail you have left behind Some days you almost have me convinced that it was all just in my head and others I find reminders of your half hidden truths I hear the words that you mutter sarcastically underneath your breath I've seen and heard so much more and how it made me wish for death You project your hidden deeds on me In attempts to make me doubt myself and if I try to confront you you just call me crazy and say it's just my mental health You think that I don't know the sum of two plus two But you forget that I've been here before I know for a fact, that 2+2 equals 4 my mind is trained heavily to search for red flags and signs The lessons that I learned from my past signs I learned to not ignore I see the patterns and know the answers to the questions I ask you Your answers always rage filled and demeaning telling me that my intuition is true how can you do this to me, when I only love you. only you.
