only pain
In a world where shadows gently creep, Where silence reigns, and darkness seeps, I walk a path of endless night, Where numbness shrouds all sense of light. Without the sting of pain's embrace, Emotions drift, a hollow space. No joy, no sorrow, no delight, Just empty echoes in the night. The days pass by, a muted haze, Through colorless and listless days. I search for something to ignite, A spark to pierce this endless plight. For pain, though cruel, can often show The depths where human hearts can go. Yet here I stand, devoid of tears, In a realm untouched by fears. I long for pain to make me feel, To break this spell, to mend, to heal. For in the ache, there's life anew, A vivid world of red and blue. So, let the pain come, sharp and clear, To guide me back to what is dear. For only then can I reclaim The vibrant pulse within the flame.
