one step further

I breathe in the cold air that is blowing towards me One step further My tears have already dried It is quiet I hear the sea roar I go one step further The small pebbles on the rocky path fall down because I kick them off with my shoes Now I see the sea It's a nice dark blue It can devour anyone and anything Once you're in there you can't get out But it doesn't scare me It calms me down One step further Now I'm standing right on the abyss The water is just waiting until it can finally pull me down and finally swallow me up I look up "I will finally be free" I say in a hoarse whisper tone I shut my eyes Extend my arms outwards I only have to take one more step And the sea will pull me down I will sink and never come up again One last step forward I fall I can feel the wind blowing through my hair One last sincere smile creeps onto my face For a moment I think what I'm doing is wrong But then the current pulls me along and everything goes black Now I know it's finally over J.M
