one step forward

I stare down from a tall building contemplating my next move if I take one step forward I might fall or turn into a puddle of blood at the side of the road but if I take a step back I might slip and break my bones so I wonder which one is the right choice maybe the one with lesser risk taking a step back isn't a big deal but I've walked back words all this time I wanna know the feeling of knowing I might not make it but still taking the risk just for the might the ingulfing feeling of fire and heat my bones and my knees knowing I might not make it back but if I go forward I may fall into this sweet paradise lesser risk lesser reward higher risk higher reward the safe route comfortable as it sounds one step forward is where I wanna go and I'm willing to risk it all for one step out out of the tears out of the pain out of the question that I know will pop in my head if I took a step back I'll keep wondering what would have happened if I took the one step I needed
