One Red Thread
She rocks herself to memories, choking back the midnight air. Just one red thread away. But it's hard to make an enemy out of someone who's not there. Just another crimson stain. There's something in her presence that makes her absence hard to bare. She's like shelter from the rain. But she will haunt you with her essence, as if she were breathing in your air, Just one red thread away She draws the curtain on the windows in her room, she'll take the world and burn it in a spoon and for a while she'll be free, Where the crimson angels swim the deep. She just don't know which way to run, and she's far to tired for running anyways. She can't undo what she's never done so she looks up at the sky to ease pain and whispers "I've never found this any fun, In fact I think it's quite insane". Cursing the stars as they fall like burning rain. She whispers 'sorry' to her son, pulls him close and cries, and tries her best to explain: "that some men get scared and run, and try to hide behind their lies, just to leave us with the pain" She rocks herself to DayDreams, Struggling for composure, Just one red thread away. "she's been thinking lately, That my absence could be closure. if it's all the same.
