One day, love will arrive
This is for those who sit in silence, watching the world move in pairs, wondering if love has passed them by. For those who’ve felt the ache of being overlooked, the sting of loneliness in a room full of laughter. This poem is for you, for the hearts that feel invisible, for the souls who wonder if they’re enough. You are not alone in your waiting. They walk in pairs, the world seems to agree, Each heart in rhythm, except for me. I watch their laughter, their hands entwined, While my own shadow keeps me confined. Friends tell stories of love they’ve known, While I sit quietly, feeling alone. Their words, a melody, bittersweet and true, Echo in chambers love never knew. I've tried to chase it, to force it near, But it slips away, feeding my fear. Am I unworthy? Am I to blame? This endless silence calls my name. Yet somewhere deep, a spark remains, A whisper of hope amidst the pains. Love’s not a race, it’s a patient art, It will come when it’s time to claim my heart. So I’ll wait, though the nights are long, Find strength in solitude, grow strong. For one day, love will knock, unannounced, And every empty moment will be renounced. I am not broken, just waiting to see, The day when love finally finds. me.
