*One Day I'll Die*
*One Day I'll Die* One day I'll die, beneath the silent skies, And in that moment, I’ll be all alone, My loved ones will weep, but the tears will dry, In the echo of laughter, they’ll find their home. Friends will gather, sharing snapshots of me, Words etched in kindness—sweet tributes unfurled, But soon, like the autumn leaves drifting free, They'll turn the page, leaving memories swirled. Some will don masks, feigning love so true, Whispers of “I cared” will dance in the air, Yet in the shadows, they’ll slip from my view, Their hearts will move on, as if I was never there. My partner will sigh, when our laughter rings clear, In the spaces we shared, where love used to bloom, But time, the thief, will steal away the fear, And soon, even they will find solace in gloom. My exes will linger in regret's heavy chain, Wishing for moments that slipped through their hands, But life marches forward, through joy and through pain, While I rest in the silence, where no one understands. Facebook will whisper of days that have passed, A timeline of echoes, now faded and frail, My inbox will swell with the words that won’t last, Yet in the stillness, my voice will grow pale
