Once knew.....
I was outside my room when the thought hit me, Where did all those people go? The ones who once felt like home. What we had, at first, was more beautiful than I ever imagined; the genuine laughter, the warm meals we ate together, the cutleries we shared without flinching, the stories we told behind closed doors. I couldn’t have asked for more. Then slowly, it began to fall apart, a little misunderstanding, grew into something I never saw coming. Our words thinned, fewer and fewer, until silence swallowed them whole. What if we had that conversation we kept avoiding? What if we had tried, just once more, to listen? But we didn’t. And now here we are, each moving on, in our own quiet way. Sometimes, I whispers your names, to empty air, Just to hear them again. ~Until the next conversation,Irene.
