On your tempo
If I counted the steps between us, my count would start over each day. We're waltzing, the two of us, with desert dunes and forests and city skylines between us. I'm trying my best, but I have no measure of your time. It's hard to stay on beat. After all, we're two solitary figures, dancing through different worlds. And here I dream, that someday we may see each other over the great plain, and as the wind ripples, take up each other's hands and slowly dance, dance, dance, counting heartbeats and weaving through the grass on each other's time.
