On The Hunt
You knew it was coming. That feeing of ever-lasting doom from inside you. You know the way you can't ever get right. You exhale your breath cause you can't inhale enough. That shortness of breath comes with the heart palpitations. It does not matter who you are or the occasion. It's that familiar knock on your door. You realize you've been here before. If you've taken an opiate for any length of time, bet your sweet ass it's gonna grab a whole of you fast. So be ready when you take your last one. You'll be craving before the day is done. It won't be long before the yawning starts. Then your eyes begin to water. If you lean over, snot comes running too. Wonder if they know when they look at you? It's the withdrawals of your true friend. It says, "Hello, I'm here again". What you gonna do now? Try and starve it out again? It's hard. It's tough! As you keep going, it gets fucking rough. You try to make the demon flea. But it returns again now multiplied by three. You realize your at the same place you was. Alone, without, withdrawing! No time for peace. You have to mustard up the strength to survive. On a hunt again, strap in for the ride.
