On Nights Like These...
On nights like these I rock myself to sleep I take deep slow breaths And count to three I glue my eyes to the screen So they don't have to watch me weep I plug in my fairy lights and pray So the shadows don't creep I stay up thinking about you Then I yawn and blink Soon I start to think Maybe I should get some rest I fight it off My eyelids start to droop In distress I scroll on Instagram to relieve the stress On nights like these Sleep without your "Goodnight ❤️" text Is a test I play music to remember your symphony In my head I cleaned my room to get comfortable My head was a mess You cant fill the void But that doesn't make you worth any less To have you. I'm truly blessed On nights like these, I learn to take care of myself You can help, but I have to do the rest.
