On Empty Again
On Empty Again by Jack A.S. Dunce There must be a big leaking hole here The week started in jolly good mood The days sunny despite the rain gear Birds of various hues flew and cooed. There was spring in each step in all ways The grass green and the flowers in bloom The air buzzing aloud with life's play And yet there lingers the cold chill of gloom A faint, dull gnawing feeling near the heart A nag that something key was left behind Then, falling down abruptly from a cart All colors faded grey that made one blind Again to square one, all curled up in bed Afraid of the world that's out to behead (c)pgmr 12/06/2023 Photo not mine, Cttro
