ON A RAINY DAY
Teardrops from the sky, once I shoveled Tried to keep them in hand, in my lacrimating pocket Sweat broke loose as the wind passed by But my palms were hovering — they were always dry Splash, splash, splash! I wept, unseen Petrified chrysanthemums, etched in dusk’s hymn Brush, brush, brush — bubbles fled in fear These clothes still shiver, yet the sun won’t appear Mom. My heart keeps pleading Mysteries — like truths — keep ringing in my ear Where do stars go when I’m whispering my prayers? On a rainy day, I fear the silence I couldn’t save Now I’m scared of the sky’s anger — Its lights keep flashing on my grave
