old friends
you don't know me but i know you. i know what your favorite song to sing when you drive home from school i know what you look like when you first wake up in the morning, your hair in knots and bags under your eyes. i know what you love to talk about and i know how to make you laugh but when i had her, she knew me and i knew her. and on the rare occasion we see each other its like nothing ever changed. its like we never stopped being together every single day, without fail. she was my person. i will always love her. nothing can change that. though, i can take my hair down, i can breathe a sigh of relief. she loves me, too.
