of kindred souls
I think I wasted years living my life without a kindred's touch. What I yearn for is for someone to spend moments with me in the comfortable silence of the mornings while the coffee is hot; in a playful debate just to keep my wits about. I wish for a willing ear for my endless thoughts about the wonders of the universe; a pair of eager eyes who would still think I'm pretty even in those sweatshirts. I imagine a companion whose love for books matches mine, A soul that is hungry for words as much as action. I asked God for a poet, a romantic mate, whose words alone could make my mind blossom as much as destroy my body when lust consumes me. I asked God for a poet, a passionate date, but he never comes. Or maybe he did... It was just too late. ©reddragonfly⚘
