Ode...
The rain brightened up the day, Each drop a gleam of silver gray. It painted streets with liquid light, Yet couldn't mend her inner night. The world, refreshed, began anew, With skies a softer shade of blue. Yet in her heart, the shadows stayed, Where echoes of her sorrow played. The raindrops tapped on windowpanes, Soft whispers of forgotten pains. She watched them fall, with empty eyes, A silent witness to her cries. In the storm's embrace, she found A mirror to her soul's deep sound. The brightness of the day outside Could not dispel the tears she'd hide. Even after the rain had cleared the air, It left her soul beyond repair. A piece of grief and strife, A melancholic ode to life.
