Nothing But Love

Why is it So hard to find love? To find peace? To find solace? Why are our hearts So deficient and weak To stand the tests of time together? Why are we all so lonely? We are not taught love properly From our parents From our teachers From the newscasters From our books From our movies From our neighbours From the Bible We are not taught patience or To share our careful emotions or To value our honesty and good intentions Our society is sick We value the wrong things  It makes us sick  It makes us go to war It gives us the wrong ideas I want to take the world's pain away I want to breathe new hope and new life Into all of our needless suffering I want to rebuild the world From the ground up I want to teach nothing but love Until there is nothing but love left in us To give and to receive I want to change the world With nothing but love
