Notes
Little scraps of paper, all over my desk. Scrabbled notes, of rhymes and jokes, My mind has nothing left. In this life, to find the time- I'd already be dead. So now, instead, I'll take a note, So one may read what I said. Take a note, write it down. Store that song away right now. Take a note, take it now, The thought might float away somehow. Little squares of chicken scratch, Held up high by pins and tacks. A blurb, a line, a fact of life. Ideas to attack one of these nights. But i don't have the time right now, My head is lacking light right now, It does not have the shine right now. So now, instead, I'll take a note, Go ahead, read what I wrote.
