Not Present
Even when you're here You still feel light-years away You may be with me But your mind and heart are elsewhere You radiate this coldness and feel so disconnected It's not that you're negligent, but rather: not present It makes me feel so naive and alone I can only imagine how it must be for you There's not so much as even a friendship Honestly, I know so little about you I wish you'd open up; I yearn to learn more But you continue to keep me at bay And in turn, my efforts continue to be wasted and in vain Perhaps it's for the best, it just doesn't flow A true bond should never have to be forced Maybe it's about time, that I finally let go
