Not Meant, Yet Meaningful
He walks beside me, calm and kind, With warmth and peace so hard to find. A heart that holds the purest light, A soul that makes the wrong feel right. He listens close, he always stays, He colors all my quiet days. And though I smile when he's around, There's something missing, deep, unfound. He gives me more than words can say, In countless, selfless, silent ways. But still my heart, it doesn’t move— Not how it should, not how he proves. If stars had drawn a different fate, If faith had come a moment late, Perhaps I’d feel what he deserves, A love that’s real, not lost in nerves. But truth is firm, though feelings sway, And some things just can't go our way. Still in my heart, I wish him peace, A gentle life, a soul at ease. For he’s a chapter, calm and true, Not my forever, but something blue. A rare and fleeting, quiet grace— Not mine to hold, but hard to place
