Not Her
The world spins round for 24 hours, Yet in my mind, it's you for countless hours. I once thought love like this was just in books, But now, I fear how the future looks. I watched you follow her, and I just knew, No matter what, I'll never be like her, so true. Her flawless face, her effortless grace— I'm nothing like her, can't take her place. Your laughter with her, cuts like a knife, While I stand here, waiting, hidden from life. Like a princess dreaming of a dance, But no prince ever gave me a chance. I hope these words help mend my heart, Because I can't bear a healing that tears me apart. Please, please, please stop haunting my mind, For it's hard to let go of someone so kind.
